So I was in the market for mineral concealer. After using acne spot treatment sticks for so long, I started noticing my skin would get flaky if I use these sticks too much on my healing acne spots. So I had to switch to something milder and wouldn’t cause clogging of my poor skin. I tried a concealer from Sephora, and it works pretty well. It blends in my skin tone well without me putting any foundation. I also tried using raw mineral powder to cover my red spots, but it did a pretty bad job. I would have to apply foundation to cover my red spot, and then apply the loose powder on it.
Last Saturday, I accidentally found out Maybelline has mineral concealer. Target had a promotional set of a mineral powder and mineral concealer for 8.99 dollars only. It is pretty decent price because they suppose to cost you $16 dollars if you buy them separately. To be honest, I am always skeptical of using drugstore foundation. My friends and family always told me to use department store brands because they are higher quality and wouldn’t hurt my skin.

Since Maybelline Mineral Power collection claims to use natural ingredients, I decide to give it a chance. If it doesn’t work out, I wouldn’t feel too sad since it only cost 9 dollars. If it works but doesn’t match my skin tone, maybe I can use it for other purposes. I wanted a natural looking powder, so I have a hard time deciding between light 3 and light 4. Light 3 is a classic ivory and its one shade lighter than Light 4. After a good 10 minutes struggle, I decide to go for light 4 –nude.
