I called together a little jam session with a bunch of my friends and tried having them teach me on their acoustic guitars and the result of that was a definite OMFG. Why, oh why, are the strings so hard to press down? I was seriously stuck on the D chord for one whole hour… my strings kept buzzing because I could only hold it half way down.

Thus, my decision to buy an electric guitar - pictured on the right is my black beauty… a Gibson Epiphone. What do you think of it? I got a junior size because right now I’m a pansy guitarist and can’t handle anything bigger than that. Juniors are lighter, smaller, and supposedly they are supposed to sound different but I really can’t tell. Guitar Hero did not prepare me in holding guitars that are near 5x the weight and 2x the length. How inacurate! I also got this one because it was cheap and I don’t know if I even like the guitar for now… so this is just a trial run. I’ll let you all know how I like it later.

Also, don’t think that guitars aren’t for kids… check this guy out - He’s a true Guitar Hero… and probably like five years old or something:
