If you get to play god, what would your world be like? Unlike any other simulation game, LittleBigPlanet lets you customize your world in unlimited ways. You can completely build, shape, and explore in however many ways your want. As you solve puzzles in order to collect more creative resources to build your world, you can also modify anything you see or invent something new that doesn’t exist yet. You can build your world by yourself and invite other online players to explore or go online and do it as a team with other online players. Tailor your rag doll character, also known as Sackboy, to mimic your own personality. Sackboy lives in a 3-D world of many different glued or stitched together environment. As they say, with the power of imagination, the world is fill with limit-less possibilities.

I find myself addicted to this game because it’s quick to pick up and almost mindless to play. I enjoy putting time into upgrade and growing the world whenever I don’t feel like concentrating intensively on beating another game. It’s almost like a Facebook page minus all the personal life information. It really brings friends together whether people collaborate together or compete with each other’s world. Cool thing is that this game will never have an ending and there are endless ways keep it going.

Golden Axe: Beast Rider

I remember the first time playing Golden Axe was on the Sega Genesis, and by that, you know it means it has been centuries ago. I was so excited when I found out after all these years they are going to revive this time-less classic into Golden Axe: Beast Rider on the Xbox 360. Although I shouldn’t be shocked, but I was still surprised at the difference in graphic from the old school Golden Axe compared to this newly released one. It has very realistic backgrounds and detailed beasts and other magical things.

This new generation of Golden Axe stayed in touch with most of the original basics such as the Raiders going on some epic journey to defeat enemies and kill wild beasts while collecting magic and things. The cool new thing is combating enemies while riding on a giant beast (hence Beast Rider). The beast that you ride on can bite, claw and can do other special moves including swings from your weapon. Another feature is not only can you chop off limbs of the enemy during sword combat, but you can also tear them apart as well. As you collect magic items along the way, you will encounter memories from the past games.

They did a great job in making sure you will enjoy the classic touch of the Golden Axe while adding some new flavors and bringing the game to modern age.

Battle Aliens in Dead Space

If you want to freak yourself out at home on a lonely Halloween Friday, go out and grab the newly released copy of Dead Space. Venture as Isaac Clarke the engineer in this third-person action video game to battle aliens on a giant mining spaceship that is infested with aliens called Necromorphs. The film-like storyline and vivid graphics along with the nail-biting action pack really make you feel like Sigourney Weaver in Alien. Who wouldn’t want to slaughter aliens on a stranded ginomous spaceship?

The interesting, yet tricky, part of the game is the fact that you cannot simply kill the aliens by shooting them a certain number of times. The Necromorphs are highly intelligent species that can quickly evolve to adapt a new way of surviving your massacre. For instances, they can learn from how they are wounded by you and spout new body parts that were amputated. They can even quickly reproduce themselves while getting killed. The trick is to strategically dismember the Necromorphs in a way they cannot even reprocess what happened to them. So if you think you can just rampage the spaceship and shoot anything in sight, well guess again.

I can’t wait to conclude this blog and get my hands on those Necromorphs on my high definition TV and blasting surround sound.

It’s Hip to Connect Four

Connect Four is a vertical game of tic-tac-toe, but instead of X’s and O’s, you are using red and black checkers to make 4 in a row. You can make the rows either vertically, horizontally, or diagonally. The first player to successfully make a row of 4 wins the match.

We learned two things from watching this video, first we learn Connect 4 is a challenging game that provokes deep thought and strategic maneuvering and second, we learn girls are sneaky.
