I like the Bob Revolution. I bought it at REI and got a good price, plus a 20% discount that members get once a year (or so). I had used 2 jogging strollers before this one and find it a pure pleasure. It pushes like a dream and steers really well with the front tire unlocked. With the front tire locked it can be used as a “jogger”.
Is it a true jogging stroller? Well, no. A “real” jogging stroller has a fixed front wheel. This means that as soon as it goes out of true (pointing straight ahead) your stroller is constantly pulling you slightly in one direction. Because the Bob Revolution has a front wheel that can be unlocked and swivel, you never have this problem of it going out of true. I have used the stroller for jogging and even for roller blading. I never locked the front wheel and had a great experience.
Pros: Smooth, handles well, easy to push, always goes straight, great in markets, collapsible
Cons: No hand brake (has parking brake); may be heavy to lift in and out of car a lot (depending on your size); still big when folded (without removing wheels)*.
The back and front wheels are easy to remove and replace, but if you were to use this a primary stroller, you wouldn’t want to do that everytime you stopped the car. So, with all the wheels in place it is bulky compared to “umbrella” style strollers (like the MacClaren we have). Since we have a mini van, it fits fine in back.
