This is a old phone back in 2006, but it still looks pretty cool nowdays.

MAGO is a smart phone which is created out of specialized Titanium, devoid of mass-production methods. The phone is compact, lightweight, fingerprint-resistant. Philips has officially announced for the release of its touchscreen phone, Philips X800 e2e. The phone features a 2.9 inch touchscreen, which the UIs on the touchscreen pose very close similarity to the iPhone’s.

Too bad is the phone will make its official appearance in China only. Another fact that shows that the Chinese also get nice cell phones. This could be due to the China market is huge, having a rapid rise in number of mobile phone users.

The e2e in the code name of this cellphone has a special meaning. It means the touchscreen has the capability to stretch from “edge to edge”. The phone will also boast impressive battery life, which is one of the common features found in Philips Xenium brand.

The phone also comes with a 2.0 megapixel camera, and supports GPRS network only. And also WiFi capability is present on this phone, so you can hook up to any WiFi hotspot, which at least lets you gain little higher speed of surfing the net, even though it has no 3G/HSPA support.

You might noticed that the company that makes Blackberry phone, it’s stock dropped quite a bit today. What happened to RIM? What happened to Blackberry? Are we still see the new Blackberry Bold soon? Read this story:

Needham and Company contributed to a steep decline in Research in Motion’s share price today by warning investors that the BlackBerry creator is likely going to perform below expectations in the near future. Analyst Craig Bisagna notes that while RIM is secure in its business sales, Needham sees the company’s dismissive attitude towards competitors in a financial conference call Thursday as overly optimistic and unrealistic.

However, the figures are also accompanied by slightly lower than expected shipments of 6.1 million BlackBerries over the same period, meeting more modest expectations from American Technology Research and Citi analysts and falling below one estimate of 6.3 million phones from RBC. About 2.6 million subscribers new to BlackBerries were added in the summer.

The company also just slightly missed expectations for its revenue, creating $2.58 billion in pure income versus an anticipated $2.6 billion.

RIM hasn’t yet had an opportunity to explain the perceived shortfall but has been potentially affected by multiple factors outside of its direct control, including a potential siphoning effect as the iPhone 3G takes customers that would otherwise have purchased BlackBerries.

The phone comes loaded with Windows Mobile 6 OS, which is clear an attempt aiming those business class who prefer a smartphone with the Windows Mobile environment. The KS-20 is also equipped with wireless connectivities such as WLAN, which is quite common in almost every smartphone these days. And of course, high-speed Internet connectivity that rides on the HSDPA. The phone also supports Bluetooth 2.0 and the memory expansion can be via the microSD card slot. The camera of this guy is definitely much behind with today’s high-end cellphones from other makers. The phone has a 2-megapixel camera only. Other than the LED flash that comes with the camera, the megapixels that it carries is simply disappointing to many of us. Overall the features seem to be qualified as a iPhone challenger except the camera.

How is LG KS20 compared to iPhone?

The silent, yet eerily palpable rivalry betwixt LG and Apple continues, secretly, growing subtlety with every new phone release (as you can see in the Windows Mobile-based KS20). Or maybe these two companies just love this design — certainly Nokia in front of it. It’s hard to say really, but what isn’t hard to say is that these phones do look alike, and there’s no way around it. Please forgive the German showgirl for the upside down iPhone handling — they haven’t had the fortune of holding them here. After the break, be sure and note the UI of LG’s KU990 — the company’s other widescreen touch phone — and its familiar look. One thing’s for sure: they all smudge the same.

“As T-Mobile finished handing off a round of press invites to its Android event next week, Google was busy having a bit of Android fun as well. At a developer event held earlier this week in London, Google’s Mike Jennings gave quite the demo - showcasing a few apps and even displaying an app that he wrote himself in about two hours. The point of course is that Android is a truly open OS which makes it easy for any developer to get involved. We still have plenty of reason to be excited about next week’s T-Mobile event as Jennings was quite limited in what he was able to display to attendees. In fact he couldn’t even make a call with the handset in front of attendees though he admitted that he has been using and Android-powered phone personally, albeit not in public. While all this is fine and dandy, we’re more interested in the latest timing rumors that have emerged in the wake of the London event. It looks like T-Mobile customers will have first crack at the HTC G1 on Friday, October 17. The handset will begin shipping to stores that Monday but the cat won’t be allowed out of the bag until Friday. What’s more, news that Sprint will be next in line for some Android love has emerged and it will not be hocking a CDMA version of the G1. Sprint will apparently make an entirely different handset available by the end of the year. Jennings wouldn’t admit the manufacturer or model of Sprint’s initial Android offering, though he did mention “other functionality” when comparing it to the G1. So Sprint customers, you’ll just have to sit tight and expect some new info on your upcoming Android offering to leak out soon. T-Mobile customers on the other hand, it looks like you’ve got another month to make up your mind but we’ll surely be confirming the exact release timing next week.”

iPhone = email is pushed to your phone if you read on your computer it automaticly updates on your phone that its been read so no longer marked as a new message.

Blackberry = while new messages are Pushed to your phone if you read on your computer or anywhere else it does not update it on your phone….

iPhone = one nice easy to use email app which when you click on it has all your email accounts and you choose which one you want

Blackberry = you just have under Applications a bunch of email accounts and will show a icon on it when you have a new message but you have to go and click on each one to see which email account its actually for.

iPhone = email app shows HTML emails

Blackberry = doesn’t show HTML emails so if you have emails that are in HTML you will just have a bunch of code that makes no sense to ya.

IF you are a power email user, with many folders, accounts and organizing requirements, the Blackberry cannot be beaten by anything else out there.   For everything else, however, the iPhone is far superior.

Blackberry - if you lose it you can tell the device to self destruct all emails and corporate applications

The Garmin Nuvifone which is to be released in the third quarter this year is now in the phase of testing out price points in the market. Garmin sent some people a survey that listed the phone at $500 through At&t with a two year contract.

“The nüvifone is an all-in-one device offering unmatched integration of utility and function in a single mobile device,” said Cliff Pemble, Garmin’s president and COO. “This is the breakthrough product that cell phone and GPS users around the world have been longing for — a single device that does it all.”

It is believed that the Nuvifone price will drop because of competition and rumors about the iphone dropping its own prices. (Hope so!!!)

The NuviFone will feature Google local search capabilities where users of the phone can look for points of interest like coffee shops or the nearest park and Google will return relevant results. Additional features of the new NuviFone include:

• “Where am I?” - which allows you to see the exact latitude and longitude coordinates, the nearest address and intersection, and the closest hospitals, police stations and gas stations.
