The Sharp Aquos D43 series of LCD TV’s feature an 6ms response time, 6000:1 contrast ratio, 720p and wide viewing angle, RGB PC input, dual speakers, removable stands, built in tuners and are finished in piano black. Developed as the entry level Aquos series, the D43 lineup ranges in size from 26 - 52 inches. While the more expensive D64 series offers a higher contrast ratio, 1080p resolution and a few other upgrades, the limitations of the D43 series are a result of trying to keep the price down. Larger D64 series models also boast faster response times.
The Sharp Aquos LC26D43U features a 26 inch display and is priced around $670 and is the cheapest/smallest model in the D43 range. Due various retailer discounts, the price gap between this 26 inch model and the larger 32 inch can become negligible.
