Related strongly to the Olympus SP 550UZ, the Olympus SP 560UZ has the same main feature of 18x optical zoom but improves upon the 550 by having 8MP instead of 7 however pictures can still appear soft with quite a bit of noise higher up the ISO range. The slow responsiveness of the 550 has been improved in the 560 but not significantly so. The 560 also offers a high speed USB port, missing on thr 550. As usual, there are tradeoff when sticking to non-DSLR cameras but the ease of use makes the camera accessible to even novices. Advanced users will want to pony up the extra cash, less than $50, for a 570
